Roof Works

Works Update – March 2026

You may have noticed a significant increase in activity on site over the past couple of weeks as contractors have been progressing with several elements of the project.

Our roofing contractors have recently completed works to the flat dormer roofs. This included removing the existing deck, correcting the roof falls where required, installing new decking, and finishing the areas with a new single-ply roofing system. This new covering benefits from a long-term manufacturer’s warranty, providing a durable and reliable solution for the dormer roofs.

Carpenters were also on site last week carrying out works to the fascia boards on the front and side elevations of the property. These works were completed to support the ongoing roof refurbishment and to ensure the roofline is properly prepared for the next phase of works.

All areas of the roof that had previously been stripped remain fully weatherproofed and secure.

Next Steps

Our plan moving forward is to arrange for the roofing team to return to site shortly to begin works on the main roof tiles. Once back on site, they will continue with the re-tiling works as part of the ongoing roof refurbishment.

We understand that construction works can cause disruption and we appreciate your continued patience and cooperation while these improvements are being carried out.

Skip Exchange Info

Wherever possible, we will endeavour to maintain Monday and Tuesday as our regular days for skip deliveries and exchanges. This approach helps us to plan works efficiently and minimise disruption across the estate.

Material Delivery Info

All the material for the guttering, fascia and soffit replacement has now been delivered.

50% of the roof tiles has been delivered - we apologise there is a lack of space. Once we have utilised all the current roof tiles, we will order the remaining amount. Once we have a fixed date on this delivery we will update this section.

General Info

During break times, a diesel generator may be in use to power the welfare unit, and a portable generator will be used to operate the hoist for lifting materials onto the roof. We apologise for any noise disruption during these periods. When these items are not in use, we will ensure that the generators are switched off to minimise any unnecessary noise.
