Roof Works

We would like to provide residents with an update on the roofing works currently taking place at Penzance.

Our roofing contractors commenced works on site during the week commencing Monday 12 January. The first stage of the project involves stripping the existing roof coverings, including the current tiles, felt, and battens.

Once this stage is complete, the roof will be rebuilt using a new Redland specification roof build-up, providing a modern, durable, and weather-resistant finish.

Upcoming Works

Week commencing 26 January:
Additional contractors will be arriving on site to carry out the fascia and guttering works around the property. These works will follow on from the main roofing activities and are an important part of the overall roof replacement.

As with all external works, the programme may be subject to change depending on weather conditions or site progress. Any significant changes will be updated via this notice board.

Skip Exchange Info

Wherever possible, we will endeavour to maintain Monday and Tuesday as our regular days for skip deliveries and exchanges. This approach helps us to plan works efficiently and minimise disruption across the estate.

Material Delivery Info

We would like to make residents aware of the following upcoming material deliveries associated with the roofing works:

Tuesday 20 January
A significant delivery of roofing materials will be arriving on site. This delivery will include roof tiles required to complete approximately 50% of the roofing works.

As the roofers progress and reach the stage where additional materials can be safely received, further materials will be ordered and delivered to site. Once confirmed, the delivery date for the remaining materials will be added to this notice board.

Monday 19 January
All fascias and guttering materials will be delivered to site in preparation for the fascia and guttering works, which are scheduled to commence on Monday 26 January.

Due to the volume of materials being delivered, there may be some temporary disruption during delivery periods. We appreciate your patience and understanding while these essential improvement works continue.

General Info

During break times, a diesel generator may be in use to power the welfare unit, and a portable generator will be used to operate the hoist for lifting materials onto the roof. We apologise for any noise disruption during these periods. When these items are not in use, we will ensure that the generators are switched off to minimise any unnecessary noise.
